Genevieve Gencorelli is a self-taught contemporary abstract artist based in Florida. She has always been drawn to art and creative expression, with a lifelong appreciation for color, beauty, and the freedom of creating.

Her connection to art has been influenced by her experiences traveling and studying abroad. She studied in Italy and has returned many times over the years, deepening her appreciation for art, culture, and the visual world around her.

She works primarily in acrylic on canvas with an intuitive and expressive approach, allowing each work to develop organically. Her work continues to evolve as she explores color, movement, texture, and the possibilities of abstraction.

Artist Statement:

I am drawn to the freedom of abstract painting because it allows color, movement, and emotion to speak without boundaries. Working primarily with acrylic on canvas, I build my paintings through layers of color and expressive brushwork, allowing the work to evolve intuitively. I’m drawn to the way colors interact, overlap, emerge and change, much like the many layers of human emotions and the chapters of life. My hope is that each painting gives the viewer a moment to pause, reflect, and discover something personal within it.
